Working with the design of the original parquet flooring in the 300yr old building, the tiles were printed by hand using lino cuts onto a fake laminate floor. The cuts took engravings of hair from the Bible to replicate the texture of wood grain. Hair is used as a symbol of religious punishment and a metaphor for sexuality and awakenings.
