In 2015 I was commissioned to design a set of cladding panels and metal gates based on research into Soho's historical past.
The main visual research was focused on those groups of people that have sought refuge in London from persecution; in particular the Huguenots and their cultural legacy. Formerly the site of a Huguenot church and vibrant community, the design features interpretations of famous Huguenot artists and artisans including Daniel Marot and Jean Monnoyer.
The installation of the panels and gates has been completed on Berwick Street and Hopkins Street.
